About Insight

Insight is a highly-reputed audio-visual supplier working nationally and internationally. We have two key areas of expertise; audio visual event management and systems design.

We produce at least two events per week which means our teams are constantly on the road and there is a steady stream of flight cases in and out of the warehouse. Our collective event management experience spans 60 years, so you can be confident in our abilities to manage your event at the highest level of professionalism.

When it comes to systems design, Insight has an enviable reputation. We regularly work with some of the UK’s largest blue chip companies, designing and installing audio visual systems to meet the most complex demands. Having said that, we are equally happy mounting a single projector, LCD screen or advising on a PA system.

Insight is Midlands-based, so ideally placed to reach anywhere in the UK. Our Warwick warehouse stores a huge range of equipment which is regularly maintained and consistently updated. Sets and lecterns are built and stored in-house so there are no third party costs.

The level of technical know-how at Insight is second to none and is matched by a real commitment to exceptional customer service.

Ian Verge, Managing Director

Insight was started by Ian back in 1991 from a shared unit in a friend’s garage. Over the last 25 years he has successfully built up the company; managing to combine his role as Managing Director with that of a hands-on Project Manager. With vast experience in audio visual event management, Ian has worked across the UK and overseas in all kinds of environments from conference centres to cruise liners and from schools to swimming pools. He is equally skilled in the design and installation of audio visual systems and has developed audio-visual solutions for some of the most complex environments.

Mathew Cook, Technical Director

Mat joined the company in 1995 as a technician, before working his way up to Project Manager in 2001 and then Technical Director in 2005. Over his 18 years with the company Mat has steadily built his own portfolio of clients and is equally in demand as a specialist in event management and a system designer. As Technical Director, Mat is highly qualified in the design of complex, multi-dimensional audio-visual systems and combines his vast product knowledge with his IT expertise to ensure he delivers the best possible client solution.

Project Management Team

Each project we undertake is assigned to a specific Project Manager and they will run the event or installation from start to debrief. Our Project Managers are each highly skilled in their craft. Insight ensures that training is ongoing so that they each have strong knowledge of the latest technical advances as well as keeping up to date with event industry trends. Each member of the team is highly presentable, friendly and helpful with a ‘can do’ attitude and each has a strong track record in client retention and repeat requests.

Technicians

The technicians we employ are not only selected for their technical knowledge: it is just as important to us that they are reliable, friendly, presentable, professional and committed to doing each job well. Many of our technical staff have been with us for years and clients often ask to work with specific technicians again and again. There is a range of expertise within the team with event specialisms including video, projection, audio, lighting, video conferencing and broadcast events.

Office Team

From our hub in the Midlands, the office team keeps the company running smoothly and ensures that each new enquiry is met with a friendly voice and efficient follow up. Working closely with the Directors and Project Managers, they ensure that each project is well supported. Our Hires Manager looks after equipment rental enquiries and oversees the comings and goings of the vast range of audio visual kit we stock – providing equipment demonstrations for clients when needed.

Business Development

Although Insight has grown beyond recognition since 1988 and now boasts a strong portfolio of clients, we are never ones to be complacent. We are committed to investing to increasing our customer network and solidifying our position as a key player in the audio visual events and installation industry. Our approach is proactive and we are firm believers in getting out there and meeting people – so you will often find us at key industry exhibitions. Our Business Development Team works alongside our Project Managers in handling each new enquiry and developing each new project. Warehouse

Our base in Warwick includes an 8000 square foot warehouse containing a vast range of well-maintained and consistently-updated audio visual equipment. Our warehouse team oversees the constant arrival of deliveries, the loading and unloading of trucks, set-building, equipment checking, PAT testing and client demonstrations. It’s a busy place.
